JOB SEARCH TIPS AND TECHNIQUES
FREE mini-seminar led by Duane Dunk
When: Saturday, March 13, at 8:45 a.m.
Through corporate consolidations and a divestitures, Duane Dunk has twice been the recipient of instruction and services from two of the leading professional outplacement companies in the U.S. After being laid-off in October, Duane hired a leading, local personal career counselor to update his skill set for job searching in today's economy and leveraging electronic tools not available at the time of earlier outplacement training. He is an avid networker and power-user of Linkedin.com. Gratefully, Duane has rejoined the workforce and is now excited to share job-searching tools and insights at this upcoming free mini-seminar.
The mini-seminar will provide a roadmap for more efficient job searching, including guiding principles for cover letters, resumes, networking, and even discussion of compensation. Attendees will learn of the only three job-search websites needed out of more than 50,000 employment sites on the web. Specific techniques will be shared for finding opportunities with less competition (or even no other applicants!) to increase chances of getting hired. There are limitations of how much can be covered in only two hours so handouts with information about additional resources will be shared.
