ERCC NEws

Week of 3/6/26

EASTER SPRING FLING
Volunteer signups are happening now! Our event will take place on Saturday, April 4th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and there are many ways to help before, during, and after the event. We are also gratefully accepting donations of mini, Easter egg–sized candy. This is one of our largest community outreach opportunities, and we’d love you to be part of it. Jan or Kristen will be at the table in the foyer and can answer any questions or help you find a place to serve.

ERCC WORKDAY
Join us for a Church Workday on March 14th from 9:00am to 12:00pm as we come together to clean and maintain God's house. We'll be organizing, cleaning, tidying up the grounds, and tackling various projects. Please bring any tools and work gloves you have. Lunch will be provided afterward. Stop by the table this Sunday and sign up for any tasks that might interest you. For more details, contact the Deacons.

SERVING OUR SENIORS
Would you like to bless our Senior Saints? You can, by making a main dish for one of our Senior Bible Fellowship (SBF) meetings. This is a bi-monthly gathering on the second and fourth Tuesday at 11:30 AM where our seniors come together for fellowship, faith, and a delicious meal. You may drop off the dish on Sunday or Monday before the meeting and we'll take care of the rest and cover the cost. It’s a simple but impactful way to show love and appreciation to our seniors. You can sign up by clicking the link provided – ‘Take Them a Meal’ and they will send a link for “take them a meal” every quarter for you to sign up to volunteer. If you have any questions, contact Dean or Kirie.

SAFETY TEAM
We are looking for volunteers to serve once a month during service by helping patrol the building and grounds. If you’re interested in joining our Safety Team, please contact Pastor Adam.

WEEKEND TO REMEMBER – MARRIAGE CONFERENCE
Whether you’re coming to be refreshed or to rest, join us for three meaningful days of learning, laughter, and connection on March 20–22 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. Couples can save $100 on registration by using the group name EastRentonChurch. Please note that hotel accommodations and meals are not included in the registration cost. Click here to register or call FamilyLife at 800-358-6329.

SONG OF THE MONTH - MARCH
As we celebrate Easter, our Song of the Month lifts our eyes to the risen Christ, no longer the suffering servant, but the exalted and reigning King. The song captures the wonder of the resurrection, where sorrow gives way to splendor and death is swallowed up in victory. It invites us to behold Jesus in all His glory and respond with awe, joy, and wholehearted worship.

SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY
We would love you to join us on Sunday mornings in the Media room at 8:45 AM. We are doing a study in Genesis chapters 12-25 on Abraham titled “Be Obedient.” This is a great opportunity to meet others in the church and share God’s Word. The study is facilitated by Elder Scott.

COFFEE FELLOWSHIP
Stop in and join us before service on Sunday morning around 9:15 AM for some light refreshments and fellowship.

SENIOR BIBLE FELLOWSHIP
Senior Saints! Please join us as we share our lives in Christ to encourage, grow, and laugh with each other. We’ll meet in the ERCC Media room for a delicious lunch, ukulele led worship, a biblical message, sharing, and prayer. The Lord sustains us as we continue to bear fruit and praise God. (Psalm 92:14 – 15). Come and join us on Tuesday, March 10th from 11:30-1:00 PM. If you have any questions or need transportation, contact Dean or Kirie Tsuchida. We look forward to spending time with you!

WOMEN - LADIES NIGHT OUT
Ladies, come join us for a relaxing evening on March 11th at 7:00pm. We will enjoy each other’s company playing games (feel free to bring your favorite one) or making a fun craft. You may bring a snack to share but it’s not required. We hope to see you there! Contact Women’s Ministry if you have any questions.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
Ladies, we are offering a Bible study called Jesus and Prayer by Shelly Smith. Prayer is a natural part of our relationship with God, but it doesn't come naturally in always knowing what to pray or how to pray. Jesus taught His followers to pray through His example and through parables and instructions. We will learn more about prayer from Jesus in the Bible and practice praying. We meet from 9:30-11:00 AM on Thursdays in the Media room at ERCC and the cost is $5. If interested, contact Diane Christensen.

MEN - IRON SHARPENS IRON
We encourage the men of ERCC to invite friends and gather with us on March 14th at 7:00 AM. Let’s help strengthen one another spiritually, mentally, and emotionally through thoughtful conversations. Questions, contact Men’s Ministry.

CHURCH POTLUCK
We invite everyone, whether you’re new, who have been attending for years or are visiting for the first time, to join us for our church potluck after service on Sunday, March 15th at 11:30 AM. If your last name begins with the letters A-J please bring a side dish or dessert and K-Z please bring a main dish. We look forward to gathering with you! Questions? Contact Amanda Lossing.

MEN - MEN’S BREAKFAST
Come and enjoy breakfast while getting to know the men of our church on Saturday, March 28th from 7:00-8:30 AM. The men will share breakfast, Elder Giff will speak, and then the men will breakout into small groups for discussions. Let’s strengthen each other through His Word. If you have any prayer requests, please let us know as we would love to be in prayer for you!

YOUTH - ERCC YOUTH
Invite your friends and join us on March 29th starting at 4:30 PM for our 4th Annual Epic Lip Sync Battle! Come enjoy a fun and energetic evening as our youth take the stage with their best lip sync performances. All junior high and senior high students are welcome to attend. It’s sure to be a night full of laughter and great memories. For questions, reach out to Pastor Adam.

PASSION WEEK DEVOTIONALS
Join us for Passion Week, March 31st - April 2nd, from 8:00-8:45am, as we journey through the final days of Christ’s earthly ministry. We will reflect on His sacrifice, the fulfillment of prophecy, and the hope of His resurrection. Come and prepare your heart as we remember the love and redemption found in Jesus.

GLEAN AT ERCC (food and other items)
Inspired by: Acts 4:32 "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had."

ERCC hosts a gleaning on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays around 11:00 – 12:00 PM in the back parking lot. Items are extras from stores such as Costco and QFC. It's mostly food, but sometimes other household items. When you arrive, there will be a person handing out buttons with numbers. You will line up according to your number. The elderly will have their own line and will go first. You will go through in groups of 10 and you must stay in line, no passing. Items allowed to pick depend on the amount of food that is brought. All participants are asked to enter through the back gate, park and go directly to the “number person” and get in line. (No scanning of the items laid out) Please come to the church after you receive the email notification from ERCC.
People attending ERCC are welcome to participate in the ‘glean’ distribution. If you would like to attend please email the church office and you will be added to the ‘gleaning’ email list. An e-mail will be sent about 15-20 minutes before the distribution begins. You must wait until the email is sent before coming to the church. These are the instructions for the current participants and ERCC participants will be expected to do the same.

PRESTON FOOD BANK
Preston Food Bank is making a huge impact, supporting 200 families each week and creating special care bags for women, children, shut-ins, and more each month. To help them continue this vital work, they need plastic and paper shopping bags, magazines, and egg cartons. If you’d like to contribute, please place your donations in the walk-in pantry located in the church kitchen. Sally Williams will be collecting items every Sunday. Thank you for helping make a difference in our community.
