ERCC NEws

Week of 12/5/2025

OFFICE CLOSED
The office will be closed on December 25th and 26th for the Christmas holiday.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
We’re looking for volunteers to join our Children’s Ministry team. We still need two volunteers to be Group Guides ages 13 and up, serving one week each month. If you are interested or have questions, contact Pastor Adam.

SOUND BOOTH
Are you interested in serving behind the scenes? We’re looking for volunteers to join our sound booth team during Sunday services. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and be part of a team that helps make worship happen each week. If you’re curious and would like more information email Pastor Adam.

SONG OF THE MONTH - DECEMBER
In the busy-ness of the Christmas season, we are reminded to be still (Psalm 46:10) and to celebrate the call in Isaiah 9:6 — “For to us a child is born… and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Christmas becomes an invitation not just to remember His arrival, but to behold Him with renewed awe.
Behold Him - (by Paul Baloche) as performed by The Worship Initiative.

SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY
Come and join us for a study on Daniel. We meet Sunday mornings at 8:45 AM in the Media room. The study is facilitated by Elder Scott. This is a great opportunity to meet others in the church and share God’s Word.

COFFEE FELLOWSHIP
Stop in and join us before service on Sunday morning around 9:15 AM for some light refreshments and fellowship.

LADIES CHRISTMAS GATHERING
This Christmas season, we extend an invitation to the ladies 15 years and older, for a morning of fellowship on Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 AM. We'll enjoy a festive brunch and hear an encouraging message from our guest speaker June Corley, who will help us to prepare our hearts for the Christmas season. It will be a time to pause from the busyness, share in community, and be reminded of the true gift of Christmas. We can’t wait to see you there!

YOUTH - ERCC YOUTH
Invite your friends and join us at youth group on Sunday, December 7th, from 4:30–7:30 PM. We’ll kick things off with some fun games, dinner, and then dive into a meaningful lesson. For questions, reach out to Pastor Adam.

SENIOR BIBLE FELLOWSHIP
All of you, 50 and above, are invited to the Senior Bible Fellowship Christmas Celebration on Tuesday, December 9th at 11:30am. Together, we will share a holiday meal, Pastor Adam will lead us in Christmas songs, Kirie will dance a hula to ‘O Holy Night’, Suzanne and Gene/Joy will share from the book, “Let Earth Receive Her KING”, and we’ll pray for each other. Come check us out. In addition to finding community, this Bible Fellowship will help you in your relationship with Jesus Christ. We study the Word of God to help us in our role as members in the body of Christ.

MEN - IRON SHARPENS IRON
We encourage the men of ERCC to invite friends and gather with us on December 13th at 7:00 AM. Let’s help strengthen one another spiritually, mentally, and emotionally through thoughtful conversations. Questions, contact Men’s Ministry.

KIDS – CHRISTMAS SKIT
The children are excited to share a special Christmas skit titled “The Greatest Gift.” The story follows a young child disappointed by his Christmas present until an older child gently encourages him and reminds him of the greatest gift of all: the birth of Jesus. Join us for this heartwarming performance on December 14th during the service.

MEN - MEN’S BREAKFAST
Come and enjoy breakfast while getting to know the men of our church on Saturday, December 27th from 7:00-8:30 AM. The men will share breakfast, Elder Giff will speak, and then the men will breakout into small groups for discussions. Let’s strengthen each other through His Word. If you have any prayer requests, please let us know as we would love to be in prayer for you!

PRAYER MEETING
The Elder’s desire is to glorify God by making ERCC a house of prayer. Come and join us on the first Tuesday of each month as we pray for the church, ERCC ministries, our country, and the nations. We will meet on Tuesday, January 6th at 7:00 PM. Elder Dean Tsuchida will be leading the prayer meeting.

WOMEN - LADIES NIGHT OUT
We won’t be gathering in December, but let's anticipate a fun and energetic night on January 14th at 7:00pm with an exciting game of Bunco, a fast-paced dice game! This is a wonderful time to reconnect with one another and “catch up” after the holiday season. We hope to see you there! Contact Jeanette if you have any questions.

CHURCH POTLUCK
We invite everyone, whether you’re new, have been attending for years, or are visiting for the first time, to join us for our church potluck after service on Sunday, January 18th at 11:30 AM. GLEAN AT ERCC (food and other items)
Inspired by: Acts 4:32 "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had."

ERCC hosts a gleaning on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays around 11:30 – 12:00pm in the back parking lot. Items are extras from stores such as Costco and QFC. It's mostly food, but sometimes other household items. When you arrive, there will be a person handing out buttons with numbers. You will line up according to your number. The elderly will have their own line and will go first. You will go through in groups of 10 and you must stay in line, no passing. Items allowed to pick depend on the amount of food that is brought. All participants are asked to enter through the back gate, park and go directly to the “number person” and get in line. (No scanning of the items laid out) Please come to the church after you receive the email notification from ERCC.
People attending ERCC are welcome to participate in the ‘glean’ distribution. If you would like to attend please email the church office and you will be added to the ‘gleaning’ email list. An e-mail will be sent about 15-20 minutes before the distribution begins. You must wait until the notice is sent before coming to the church. These are the instructions for the current participants and ERCC participants will be expected to do the same.

PRESTON FOOD BANK
Preston Food Bank is making a huge impact, supporting 200 families each week and creating special care bags for women, children, shut-ins, and more each month. To help them continue this vital work, they need plastic and paper shopping bags, magazines, and egg cartons. If you’d like to contribute, please place your donations in the walk-in pantry located in the church kitchen. Sally Williams will be collecting items every Sunday. Thank you for helping make a difference in our community.
