WHAT’S NEW
WOMEN’S FALL BIBLE STUDY
The women are offering a bible study on Thursdays from 9:30-11:00 AM on Paul’s letter to the Romans. This profound and life-transforming book helps us discover afresh how deeply we are loved and how completely we are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It contains the most comprehensive teaching in the New Testament on the gospel of Jesus Christ: God’s good news to us. It is a year-long study and the cost is $5. If you are interested email Women's Ministry or connect with Diane Christensen.
TRUNK OR TREAT
Trunk or Treat is coming Saturday, October 31st from 1:00-3:00 PM! This is a great opportunity to connect with our community and invite friends and neighbors to church. A sign-up table is set up in the foyer where you can register your kids, sign up to volunteer, and donate candy. There are many volunteer opportunities available before, during, and after the event. Be sure to grab some invitations to share with your friends and neighbors and see how you can be involved!
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
This week we are collecting Wow items for 6-9 year old girls and boys. We also have an Amazon Gift List where you can purchase and ship items directly to the church. (13232 156th Ave SE, Renton, WA 98059) You can also make a monetary donation to help pay for needed items. Please write “OCC” in the memo line of your check and place it in one of the donation boxes. If you are looking for gift ideas, stop by the table and grab a list. These shoeboxes provide an opportunity for children to hear the Gospel and learn about the love of Jesus, which they can then share with their families and others. Throughout September and October, we'll continue collecting gifts to fill our shoeboxes before we gather to pack them in November. As you shop, please remember that all items must fit inside a standard shoebox. Please do not donate liquids, food, or soap. Thank you for your generosity.
WELCOME TEAM
Do you love meeting and helping people? If so, we’d love to have you join our team of Ambassadors! We’re looking for someone to serve at the Welcome Desk after service and help greet and assist those who attend. If you’re interested, email the office or contact Sarah Cox after service on Sunday.
PRAYER MEETING
The Prayer Meeting for October 6th has been canceled and will meet again on Tuesday November 3rd.
HAPPENING AT ERCC
SONG OF THE MONTH - AUGUST
In Leviticus we see again and again that sin and uncleanness separate people from a holy God and that sacrifice is required to restore what has been broken. Yet every offering points forward to Jesus, the perfect and final sacrifice who cleanses us and brings us near Him. "Sing" invites us to respond to that incredible grace with joyful worship. We no longer bring animals to the altar; instead, through Christ, we offer God our praise, our gratitude, and our lives. We sing because the sacrifice has been made, our guilt has been removed, and we have been welcomed into the presence of God.

GLEAN AT ERCC (food and other items)
Inspired by: Acts 4:32 "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had." ERCC hosts a gleaning on Wednesdays around 11:00 – 12:00 PM in the back parking lot. Items are extras from stores such as Trader Joes and QFC. It's mostly food, but sometimes other household items. When you arrive, there will be a person handing out buttons with numbers. You will line up according to your number. The elderly will have their own line and will go first. You must stay in line, no passing. Items allowed to pick depend on the amount of food that is brought. All participants are asked to enter through the back gate, park and go directly to the “number person” and get in line. (No scanning of the items laid out) Please come to the church after you receive the email notification from ERCC. People attending ERCC are welcome to participate in the ‘glean’ distribution. If you would like to attend please email the church office and you will be added to the ‘gleaning’ email list. An e-mail will be sent about 15-20 minutes before the distribution begins. You must wait until the email is sent before coming to the church. These are the instructions for the current participants and ERCC participants will be expected to do the same.
