For about eight years our church has participated in a ministry called Operation Christmas Child (OCC) which is a part of Samaritan’s Purse. Please join us as we participate again this year in sharing the gospel through OCC with the goal of packing 230 shoe boxes.

What we will be doing is packing shoe boxes full of gifts to be sent to children ages 2–14 in over 114 countries and territories around the world. The children hear the gospel message before they receive their shoe box, along with a gospel booklet called The Greatest Journey in their own language. After receiving the shoe box, children get a chance to participate in a program similar to children’s church called The Greatest Journey which allows the children to hear more about Jesus and connect with local churches.

Many children have become Christians through OCC and have shared the gospel with their families and communities to bring more people to Christ. Please visit Operation Christmas Child for more information about this incredible ministry!

Ways you can  help

Financial Donations

Financial donations go toward shipping the shoe boxes and/or for any extra supplies needed to complete the shoe boxes.

Supplies Donations

These are the small toys, clothing, toiletry supplies, and other items that will fill the shoe boxes. Please visit the Operation Christmas Child site (link above) for a complete list of suggested items.

Packing, Sorting, Set-up

Volunteers will set up tables, sort toys into their categories according to age and gender, and help pack the shoe boxes to get ready to ship.

Crafters

We would love to have people who like to knit, crochet, or sew make items for the shoe boxes. Contact Sherri for information on what types of items are needed.

Event Organizers

People willing to help organize the packing events or sorting days.

Prayer

Above all, please join us in praying, both for the people donating their time and resources, as well as for the recipients, that they will hear and respond to the gospel when the shoe boxes go out around the world.
